INDO-CHINA SKIRMISHES (A BATTLE ON 3 FRONTS)
There has been a military stand-off between Indian army and PLA (People’s liberation army). Since 5th may 2020, Chinese and Indian troops have been involved in melee faceoff at LAC, Sino India Border, Pangong lake and Tibet autonomous regions. Chinese have always been speculative about the strategic advantage India might acquire with proper infrastructure along LAC. Due to this China objected the construction of roads in Galwaan Valley region. On 15-16th June Chinese troops showed a lily-livered action by attacking Indian soldiers from behind and received a befitting reply from Indian troops which resulted in 43 casualties on Chinese side and 20 Indian troops attained martyrdom. Some experts believe that this was a result of the Darbuk-Shyok-Dbo road.
India now has 3 fronts to deal with in order to find
a solution i.e. Military front, economic front, Diplomatic front.
Let’s examine these:
1. Military
front solutions
Γ Increasing
commander level talks
Γ Military
exercise such has Hand in Hand can be increased.
Γ Increasing
engagement in South-china Sea.
Γ Develop
infrastructure at border areas.
Γ Strengthen
and hold our strategic points.
Γ Use
of important maritime navigation routes (Strait of Mallaca)
Γ Friendly
relations with other power relations in the world.
2. Economic
Blockade
Γ Aatma
Nirbhar Bharat (reduce import increase exports).
Γ Invest
in north south corridor as it will counter OBOR.
Γ Block
Chinese FDI and FPI.
Γ Indulging
in anti-China trade blocks.
Γ Suspending
MFN status of China.
3. Diplomatic
Solutions
Γ Regular
informal talks.
Γ Increasing
track 1 and track 2 diplomacy.
Γ Increasing
international cooperation (BRICS).
India will not forgo even an inch of or sovereign
land no matter how aggressively china promotes Salami-Slicing policy.

ReplyDeleteWhy informal talks? Why India is shying away from engaging at diplomatic levels. India should stop doing diplomacy through even management companies
